Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use the Axyom app, the following information may be sent to our servers:

This matches our App Store privacy labels: User ID (Identifiers), Other Financial Info (Financial Info), Purchase History (Purchases), and Product Interaction (Usage Data). All of it is linked to the pseudonymous identifier. None of it is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, none of it is sold, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. What We Never Collect

• Which apps you selected for Pause Layer
• App identifiers, bundle IDs, or URLs of any app or site
• Bank credentials or logins
• Card numbers or payment details
• Bank transactions or purchase history from any account
• Merchant names
• Item names, notes, categories, or feelings you record in your Journal

What you write stays on your device. When a completed pause is sent to our servers, only the amount, currency, outcome, and time travel. The story around them does not.

3. Pause Layer and Screen Time

Axyom can show a brief pause before apps you choose, a feature called Pause Layer. It uses Apple's Screen Time technology (Family Controls) and works only after you give explicit permission in iOS. Pause Layer is off by default, and you can change your selected apps or turn it off at any time.

When you select apps, Apple gives Axyom opaque tokens instead of app names. Axyom cannot read these tokens and cannot see which apps you selected. They are held by Apple's Screen Time system on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Axyom does not see what you do inside any app. We do not access shopping carts, purchase history, or transactions, and we never connect to your bank accounts.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

• Provide the app's features, such as keeping your financial context available to the app
• Understand how Axyom is used in aggregate, so we can improve it
• Maintain anonymous totals, such as the overall amount paused across all users, which contain no individual records
• Reply when you contact us, and send waitlist updates you asked for

Usage events are processed through standard server logs used to operate and debug the service. They are not used to build advertising profiles. You can unsubscribe from any communication at any time.

5. AI Processing

Some versions of Axyom include coaching features whose responses are generated using artificial intelligence provided by Anthropic (Claude). When you use such a feature, your question and relevant financial context may be processed by that service to generate the response. Axyom never sends your data to AI services in the background: nothing is processed by AI unless you use an AI feature.

Coaching responses are educational and are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or medical advice.

We do not sell your data.

6. Data Storage

Your information is stored on secure servers used by Axyom to provide the app's services. We use trusted third-party infrastructure:

• Railway (backend hosting)
• Anthropic (AI processing, only when you use an AI feature)

7. Reset and Deletion

The app includes Reset Axyom data, in Profile. When you reset:

• Your Axyom activity on the device is cleared
• A new pseudonymous identifier is generated
• Server-side data stored against your previous identifier, such as your financial context and completed pause records, is deleted
• If you are offline, the deletion is queued on your device and sent automatically when connectivity returns

Some device-level settings are deliberately kept so the app stays usable, as described in the app: your selected apps and Screen Time permission (held by iOS), your pause duration, and your currency choice. Anonymous aggregate totals contain no individual records and are unaffected by a reset. You can also request deletion at any time by contacting us.
